Safe plants offering high availability are critical for the chemical industry. Risk-based approaches, for example, offer opportunities for savings. Good knowledge management and familiarity with the technical rules are essential. IGR members proactively participate in numerous external boards and committees. They thereby shape and track the state of the art in science and technology and pass it on to other IGR members. In addition, the Industrial Practices Interest Group offers its member companies access to special test methods, enabling them to clear up cases of damage and loss quickly and thoroughly.
